What if I mess up
my Cloud Server?
Perhaps the greatest advantage of using cloud server hosting is
that you can create effective data backups and retrieve data whenever required
from anywhere in the world as long as there is Internet connectivity. So, in
case you have “messed up” your cloud server, there is no reason to panic. You
can reboot the server and restore from a backup. It is also possible to boot
into what is called an emergency rescue mode in order to troubleshoot the
problem. You can also delete the server and start afresh. While you will find
multiple options to control the mess, the simplest solution is to ensure that
there are regular backups and that you make fresh backups before installing any
new software or carrying out any key changes in configuration.
